Located in Savar, a suburb of the capital Dhaka, this eight-story building collapse claimed the lives of at least 1,135 workers. Many of the survivors continue to struggle with permanent disabilities, enduring life with great hardship. The mental anguish persists, affecting rescuers, journalists, and photographers alike. একদা একটি ট্রাভেল শো এর পরিকল্পনা করেছিলাম৷ অন্য ট্রাভেল শোগুলোর চেয়ে একটু অন্যরকম চেষ্টা ছিল৷ কেবল দর্শনীয় স্থান নয়, নতুন তথ্য ও সেখানকার মানুষের জীবনও তুলে ধরার ইচ্ছা ছিল৷ তবে পাইলট পর্বটি করার পর নানা কারণে আর বাকিটা বাস্তবে রূপ নেয়নি৷ এই পর্বটি প্রচারিত হয়েছিল ২০১৬ সালে বাংলাদেশের ইনডিপেনডেন্ট টিভি তে৷

On April 25, 2015, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake shook Nepal. The earthquake is also known as the Gorkha earthquake. It killed more than 8,000 people and injured more than 16,000, occurred at 11:56 NST on 25 April. Its epicenter was the village of Barpak, Gorkha district, and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately 15 km (9.3 mi). It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake. Some casualties were also reported in the adjoining areas of India, China, and Bangladesh as well. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened across many districts of the country. Centuries-old architecture and archaeological treasures were destroyed at UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including some at the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar Square and the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Nepal will fight back, but the lost world of the centuries-old historical sites will never come to existence again. This documentary attempts to give you a glimpse of the lost treasure. The documentary was aired on May 9, 2015 on the Independent Television of Bangladesh. The scripting and presentation is done by Anupam Deb.
